DEAR DEAR ME
DEAR GIRLS
HOW ARE YOU BOTH?
BEFORE WE GO ON.......NO LETS JUST CHECK...NO CAKES BURNING IN THE OVEN,NO MILK ON THE HOB?NO...GOOD LETS BEGIN
RESPECT ERM FOR WOMEN?.....YES I HAVE TO SAY I DO HAVE RESPECT FOR WOMEN .I HAVE THE SAME LEVEL OF RESPECT I HAVE FOR ANY OTHER HUMAN BEING ON THE PLANET.EQUAL RESPECT , THAT MEANS I DO NOT GO OUT OF MY WAY TO BE ESPECIALLY COURTEOUS TO WOMEN MORE THAN MEN.I HOLD A DOOR OPEN FOR A MAN OUT OF POLITENESS THE SAME AS I DO FOR A WOMAN.I NO LONGER HOWEVER OFFER MY SEAT TO A WOMAN(UNLESS PREGNANT,WITH A CHILD, INFIRM OR ELDERLY THIS APPLIES TO A MAN OR WOMAN).AS WOMEN KEEP TELLING US "WE ARE JUST AS CAPABLE OF STANDING AS YOU ARE !!"TRUE STORY ,HAPPENED TO ME ON THE TUBE WHEN I WAS A NERVOUS 17 YEAR OLD AND MADE THE MISTAKE OF TREATING A WOMAN WITH A BIT OF "RESPECT".NEVER OFFERED AGAIN.
OF COURSE THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO MINGERS ,MOOSES ,MIDGET CHICKS,CHICKS THAT SHAVE OR
SHOULD SHAVE BUT DONT,ANYTHING OVER A SIZE 16 , SMELLY BIRDS OR WORSE THAN ALL THAT ............................A WOMAN(NEE TEENAGE GIRL) WITHOUT A SENSE OF HUMOUR WHO OBVIOUSLY FAILS TO SEE THE RIDICULOUSLY OUT MODED MACHO AURA THAT SURROUNDS SURFING AND THE TAKES ALL IT READS SERIOUSLY
LASTLY YEP.....I CAN SURF....AND YEP ......IM DAMN GOOD AT IT TOO .
LOVE AND KISSES TO YOU BOTH

im amazed how u can say you have equal respect for men and women, when the beginning of what you said was about NO CAKES BURNING IN THE OVEN,NO MILK ON THE HOB thats stereotyping females from the very start, and your saying thats equal????? joke or no joke, you basically speak shit then. THE RIDICULOUSLY OUT MODED MACHO AURA THAT SURROUNDS SURFING AND THE TAKES ALL IT READS SERIOUSLY??????you cant just laugh at everything and take it all as a joke when your branding people and being nasty to them, that aint funny, no matter what shit you say. i hope there arent many blokes around like you, cos you sure are a load of dicks, and you can surf????? surfers are nice, and respectful, which you obviously are not

HI
Im planning on being a tourist in the Newquay area and yes I would like to try my hand
at surfing, but all this talk of scary territorial locals and ibiza rejects has made me wonder
If its really such a good idea. I know that tourists flood the area every year locally where I stay
and there mostly American but Ive never heard of a tourist being beaten up in my area
just because they are a tourist, If anything it brings a bit of diversity and interest to the
area and more events take place after all if theres nothing to see or do people wouldnt keep coming
back. I still plan on taking a holiday in Newquay and I hope to make some new friends.
cheers Abeexxx

kz, im gonna sign up, here are my two cents.
i live here, have done since i was 1yrs old. emmits are called emmits as an emmit are baby ants that flock to one place in the thousands lol.
locals get annoyed becos: (my pet hates?)
u stop in the street and stare at pointless things.
u think everything in your surroundings are provided for you.
when you surf:
u get some twat with a body board sitting there and staring at you as you head towards him on your minimal. or u stand there and jump around when people are trying to surf. this is generally tolcarne when its busy, there are a few havens .
u get peeps looking for fights, just stuff like that. and i know most arent like that. its v. fun and exciting, but do be aware that we live here, the novelty of the sea wears off after 5yrs, and we go in it to do stuff.
some of my really good friends are tourists, and we have a blast. just respect us and we'll respect you, hell we're all down here to have a good time!

Or
Ok, lets set the record straight. I've lived in Newquay since i was 12, thats 19 years now. Am i a local? Well all the TRUE locals, i.e. Cornish born an bred say so. So whats the point you might ask? 80% Of all of these idiots who call themselves locals have only been here for a matter of weeks or months. It takes more than a summer season to become a local.
But the main problem are these South African's, Aussi's, Brazillians, Tillions, alien's instects, ahh bollocks! It doesn't matter where you're from. If you come from a place with a loads of hassle in the water then leave it there. Its the unwritten code people seem to have forgotten. You don't paddle out into another lineup where you're not a local and hassle for waves. SHOW RESPECT TO THE LOCALS!!! But, Fistral is now a grey area as far as locals go. Its been over run. Have the beach cause we're sick of it but,.... Fistrals all you're gonna get. Come to where i'm surfing with a smile and respect and we'll get along fine. Paddle out and try to sit on my inside and hassle me for waves? Well i don't care who you are or how good you surf cause you'll be pulling my board out of your arse.
Remember, respect is the key word.

I find it funny that you slag off the towns biggest source of income because it upsets your daily schedule.
Tourism is crap yes i know i live in a tourist town which gets invaded by the brummies and the welsh every bank holiday, summer and any time the sun peeps out of the clouds. So yes I can comment on this subject.
If you didn't have tourists most of the shops would close down and the beaches wouldn't be as well kept as they are because no one gives a shit about a place where only 12 people visit.
Surely locals know of surf spots that no one goes to (except yourselves obviously) so the tourists stay away.
Its a vicious circle but I dont think you understand the importance of tourism.
And as for the comment about - "u get some twat with a body board sitting there and staring at you as you head towards him on your minimal."
I'll say this, we all gotta learn sometime and somewhere pal

Tall thin bloke speak's
Dear guys n gals
Firstly....hello ladies , how are you?not sure ? let me tell you .......
you are FINE with a capital S.E.X.Y...heheh
Now where were you lot?.......... oh yes getting all bent out of shape over the old poll and little comment's from "Moi" last year .
Dudes calm down.......it's ok! A big THANKYOU to the cat who thought i was kind of funny .....you are right of course i am ...or so the magistrate had it recorded but thats another story involving Duck diving (see old post ) .
I am of course mostly on the "WIND UP" I say mostly because as a Dr. of love .phd.Bsc.ITN.bbc etc "You can trust me and i mean ..implicitly ! "
You see if you read all the post's following on from my origional , the points of opinion put for and against are very close to the content of that origional .Locals defending their behaviour. sticking up for tourist's , welcoming tourist's (as long as they show respect in the surf!!) , anti-sexist comment's (heheh bless em..eh bless em) .
You will see no doubt that TTB speaks from the heart and from the wise old head that graces his lithe taut (ladies take note) disproportionate body !! and i mean ....the scale's a little out of balance downstairs if you get my drift!!
Any how it's late and i need to polish the Bentley in the morning
so goodnight and hey.......You'll dream of me tonight... admit it to yourself it's such a release!!

Got to agree with Ben there, What is it about people who just stop in the middle of the street to stare at pointless things, and my other pet hates are people who take photos of shops and stuff coz they have a funny name, get over it u sad *******s. If u wanna take pretty pictures or stop and stare at stuff in cornwall go to the Eden Project.

TIME OUT
Wow..... you guys really like to argue don't ya? No wonder the world's in such a state.
I've been coming to Newquay for the past 7 years (this will be the 8th) and to be quite honest, if it wasn't for the locals, the lovely sights and the surfing, the place just wouldn't be the same. People at home think I'm crazy going back year after year, but there's just something about the place. The locals are soooo cool and I have never had a problem with them and they have my utmost respect putting up with the invasion of tourists like me and many others over the decades. I don't think I would be too keen if it was my hometown.
There must be mutual respect on both sides. I don't surf, (getting the basics this summer) but even I know that there are rules to be adhered to and I would agree that a surfer better than me should get the first wave. I would find somewhere out of the way to practice rather than get in someone elses way.
There will always be a problem if townies keep visiting and causing hassle, so I guess it having to take the rough with the smooth. No one makes pasties like you lot anyway. They're worth the 365 mile journey anyday!!!
See you all July
Seaslave xx
