it is hard to believe as an artificial reef would be a useful commodity for the vast majority of water users, surfers, skuba divers, sea anglers etc. within a couple of years you wouldnt be able to tell it was artificial either time the barnicles, sea weed etc work their magic!

not to mention the income it would bring into the area through hotels etc.

The waves in that video are pathetic compared with the naturally occuring waves on the same beach. . .. . they are just being marketed whereas the naturally occuring waves never were. . . .

i dont know, am undecided. there is a part of me that's like, but wots the point?lol, when youve got the natural sea anyway,lol. n considering that most holidaymakers give off the impression they think that Newquay IS Cornwall anyway,how is it going to boom the money coming in to the place already? but then think wot the heck, so long as it means more fun, who cares about all that, yeah hurry up and get the thing finished,lol.

the right hand side is complete now (feb 2008) and some money is needed to finish the left side and the opanake reef - dig in for your kiwi brothers buy a mount tee shirt or just send a pound (that triples in kiwi money) keep checking every day and watch the right hander improve and jsut imagine it with you doing the best of moves on it - keep the pounds and euros comming and the karma will ensure a speedy and great result for your reefs and we can watch them as you watch ours

remember that The Mount Surfers are counting on you , ARS are needing the funds and the opanake people really need your support - help out your Kiwi kin with some bucks to finish their projects and then really see what atrificial reefs and ARS can do - it will be so good and you will feel so good making it happen.
