I agree in principle but my main concern is if less able surfers are gonna have a chance to use it or will it be consistantly taken over by agressive locals?

Valid point SurfDog, ideally, this proposed reef should be available for all, but reality is somewhat different. It it goes ahead we will see what happens.

Angry

If god intended to have the reef in Newquay, one would have provided one in the first place! Hands off. What next? Genetically modified beaches?

IF IT MEANS MORE CHICKS ARE BORED AND LONELY BECAUSE THEIR BOYS ARE ACTUALLY SURFING UNDER DOUBLE OVERHEAD THEN YES!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!!!!BUT SERIOUSLY...... THINK OF ALL THE EXTRA REVENUE THAT TOURISTS WILL BRING TO SUCH A DEPRIVED AREA WITH SUCH A REEF.

Thumbs up REEF A GREAT IDEA..

IN THEORY THIS SOUNDS A GREAT IDEA .HOWEVER I CAN REALLY ONLY THINK OF THE POSITIVE'S . THE LOCAL PEOPLE WHO WILL HAVE TO "ENDURE" A POSSIBLE INCREASE IN PEOPLE VISITNG THE AREA MAY THINK DIFFERENTLY.

Hi Leo,

Sorry for such a late response. Answer to your question about photo next to your user name (otherwise known as Avatar) is fairly simple. Once you log in, click on 'USER CP'- user control panel, at the top right on the screen, than on 'edit options'. Once there, scroll to the bottom of the page, to the 'Avatars' section, from where you can browse your local hard disk and upload the image that you wish to use as Avatar - max size is 70x70 pixels.
Do not forget to check 'Use Custom Avatars' to Yes.

Have fun!

I'd have to agree, but its going to get really crowded- me I'll probably stick to the 'natural' waves...
