Talking i need advice :)

Hey guys
Im trying to figure out a cheapish way to stay in newquay this may/june
I looked at surf lodges which are great but not that cheap, other suggestions have been just to go in a camper, now my parents havea sweet VW camper but chances of me being alowed to drive it are slim!!
Any idea, or any one who lives in newquay wanna put me up for a few weeks?!
seriosly though, any one who has been in a camper are you ok just to park on road side or is that a bit dodgy?
and, yeah thats it, any help would be good!!
email me if you like

hi

i stayed in watergate bay campsite for 3 months the summer before last, we used our vw splitty all the time to live in. its quite hard to find a place on the side of the road cus there quite strict on it down there. i would suggest finding a cheepish campsite, at least then you have some facilitys like showers after surfing. if you cant use the camper i would do it in a large ish tent, get a cheep one from argos if you havent got one. for 2 of us it costed around £120 a week in peak season, £70 of which was camp site fees, £10 petrol and the rest on food / entertainment. you could do it alot cheeper if you found a cheeper campsite or farmer who would take a couple of quid a night.
you could always get you perents to drive the camper there and just use it to camp in and walk to the beach all day from watergate or porth campsites.

Sorry for interrupting, but that van looks awesome!!!

Also, council has really tightened their grip on the roads, and you will now see signs everywhere telling you no parking or overnight camping. It is still possible, you will just have to find a quiet spot.
