Hey, I'm coming to Newquay for the 2nd-5th August for the Surf Comp and my friends who are going to Penzance are saying how its much better for beaches, surfing and generally more people! I've never been to either before and am worried that it's not going to be as good as I expected! I swear theres meant to be DJ's and stuff during the week I'm down as it says in www.ripcurlboardmasters.com. Is that right? Please help!!!!! I'm aiming for hot sunny beaches by day and music/parties/people at night!!!! Can I expect this in Newquay!?!

Bein from Pz I would suggest stickin with Newquay if you just coming down for the week - if you have a little longer then I would say come down this way - Newquay gets expensive (compared to Pz's pound a drink Fridays )!
If you do come down this far let me know and I can point u in the right direction of good bars. Surfer type bars, chillout bars and hidden clubbing areas.

As said Newquay's where it at especially during the Rip Curl Boardmasters. There' isn't a great deal in PZ to be honest and the beaches in the area are not a patch on Newquays. Your mates will be well jelous when they see your holiday snaps
