Our Wonderful Mother Ocean!!!

This place never ceases to amaze me. Was sat in the harbour this evening when just outside the wall pops up a school of dolphins! It freaks you out to see things like this in the flesh. They were doing flips , tricks and things, totaly awesome. Hope they come back tommorrow as my kids want to go swimming with them!

It was. I've seen them before but each new sighting just blows me away! A lot of people swam out to them or went out in boats. They are such friendly creatures and the stunts they can pull are just mind-blowing! Knowing my luck though, they'll have moved on tomorrow, hope not as it's a lifelong ambition of my daughter's to swim with them.

That must have been an awesome sight! My lifelong ambition is to swim with one of the buggers. I hear that dolphins can sense things about humans that they are in close proximity with. So when I do get to swim with one, I hope it can sense how much I care for their wellbeing. I only buy tins of 'dolphin friendly' variety. So now I do wonder how on earth I can eat that stuff. No more!!!

Shame you don't have any photos of the event.

Thumbs up

Am taking my son's vid' camera down but like I said they'll have probably moved on. Would have gone in myself with them earlier but got called away,(damn mobile phones)! Interesting what you say about them sensing things, can't think what vibes they'd get from me!!! Right, taking to my Sad?Old Bed!

I know a guy at work, who fly out to Dysney World with his family to swim with dolphins. And it cost him a fortune to do it.I hope one day it happens to me down in Newquay. Then i could go up to the guy and say that i did not have to spend a fortune,or travel to the States to have done it.

There was a pair of dolphins about a couple of weeks ago, 'till the jolly boats frightened them away! (I was out at Great Western, shouted 'dolphins' to Gwen as she caught a blinding wave and fell off, I wasn't popular!).

Out at Great Western this morning, didn't see any (it was a bit yucky though, maybe they only come out in good weather, probably not as stupid as me!)

This is one of the things about surfing i love, last year the dolphins come into watergate almost everyday for a week, I Was lucky enough to be out on my board when they first come and spent about an hour just laying on my board as they swam all around me and one even went straight under my board almost tuching me. They do great tricks that you would think wild ones would never do. they were swimming in a line 2 abrest and jumping 2 at a time out of the water. Its something i tresure and will always remember. I cant wait to do it again.
