Welcome to the crazy world of SurfNewquay (bit of a cop out on the profile though!).
Hopefully you will be able to give us updates on the surf at the East coast. I will be frequenting the place when I finally learn to surf this month (got the confirmation just this morning - 27/7/03 10am).

Hope you'll all rush to rescue me when the sharks attack. Saw on the news that they're very close to the beach.
At least I'll stay on my board if one of those are around!

Whats this about sharks, news to me! Don't watch the news so haven't heard about this. We get baskers round this coast quite regularly, they're no problem. Perhaps someone mistook our friends the dolphins for sharks! Helppppp!, someone fill me in please!

Not exactly sure which beach they were seen on but it was on RISE, C4 breakfast show. All I can tell you really

Mmmm, we get this a lot. There was a great white spotting apparently some time last year, (but then again it was in the Sun newspaper!). Still, you never know do you? If you're a surfer though you can't realy afford to think about it can you? Do I sound worried?
