Yep, thats the one. We've just had a 7.2 high tide this week, it was coming up the steps mate! No surfing at high tide but great fun for wave jumping and swimming but haevy on the ankles with all the rocks laying around.

Seaslave, only 5 days to go!!! Can you hold out that long, bet you are tripping out big style! Hope this gloomy weather clears by your arrival. The past week has been pretty dismal weather wise after that fantastic heatwave but I'm told the sun is coming back so don't worry too much. Don't forget to pray to the wave god, (and don't forget your camerea!).

Andy mate, you could have a point there! I think I may live to regret sharing my beachware secrets with everyone, I seem to have become the butt of some joking! No worries!, been wearing them since I could remember, no big deal! This weather is boring isn't it. Gotten used to endless sunny and hot days. Went to watch my daughter in the carnival last night and got drenched! Still, everyone made the most of things and it was a realy good atmospere. Waves seem to be improving though over the last week. Hopefully I'll get a surf in later today, (tap, tap, tap)!

In my diary its three days. I don't count today, and I don't count Saturday, coz we set off so early in the morning, I get to spend practically the whole day in Newquay. We are usually there for a late breakfast.

Don't say 5 days, thats nearly a week and my heart wont wait another week. (Method in my madness eh?)

Seaslave, I used to set off from Nott'm at midnight and arrive here about breakfast time so I know what you mean. Was knackered for the rest of the day though! Three days to go then, you sound pretty stoked to me. I feel your excitement!!! Sun is shining and waves not bad, (not particularly brilliant but ridable). Newquay is packed at the moment, the summer rush is well under way now, hold on, you'll soon be here!

Been shopping, and started packing some bits. Getting really excited now. Just wish I had work out of the way. 2 shifts to go.

These last few days I get really ratty with everyone. I find myself wishing the time away, coz I know its so close, and because it won't pass by fast enough I take my resentment out on those closest. My husband tends to be the same, so we don't say much to eachother in the last days before we get away. He can't wait to get away either.

Why is it though, that when I get there, the time will fly and all too soon it's time to come home. Its just not fair!

Seaslave, it's just the way it is. The more you enjoy something, the faster it goes. I know exactly how you are feeling, I've been there, (come to think of it though, my ex-wife and I hardly talked all year round!!! ). That's why I moved down here, I got sick of waitng 50 weeks for something I wanted so much, only to see it fly by, 2weeks went like 2 days. You just have to make the most of every single minute you're here, live it, feel it, do it! Looking forward to hearing about your surfin', shall miss chatting to you for the next fortnight, (unless of course I see you out and about down here). You know, I don't have a clue what you look like, (apart from the cartoon blonde with the green board but slightly larger rear end!!! ).

I'm also obsessed with the weather. I watch the long range weather forecasts on the net to see what the prospects are. Most of them say different things, but the outlook is quite good.

From the 26th it is going to be warm most of the time (cool on the 29th & 30th) and a chance of light rain on the 1st and 2nd. From the 3rd it's going to be great, getting extremely warm for the second week. Well thats what it says anyway, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Doesn't really matter, I can still surf in the rain, can't I?

That's the nearest likeness I could find. Longish blonde hair, 5'5, but without the purple eyeshadow (oh and a bigger ass).

Don't worry. If you're in the same vicinity as me I will hunt you out. Don't think there will be too many long haired hippies in a thong on the beach do you?
