Beach Parties!!

Hey guys!

A couple of my friends and myself will be coming down to newquay during the RipCurl event to watch some surfing/skating and of course, to party .

I am wondering what are the beach parties like unoffical/offical? is there many of them during the ripcurl event?

Thanks in advance!

Liam

It'll cost you about £25 for the week camping, then at least you've got somewhere to leave your stuff, and somewhere to relax. rosecliston is a good place, about £6 a night and you get half decent showers that are hot at least, a friendly environment and taxi's into town for about a quid, or it's walkable if you're feeling like it.

I would guess you'd get kicked off the beach, even if it's by security staff for the event

There are mad partys at the beach in Virginia, and Nags head. We get bands to play there, but anyways I am pretty sure there will be some partys. No doubt in my mind. I mean there are going to be hot gurls there. So atleast someone is going to have a party

The following conmcerning beach partys is pasted from another site:

It has been brought to our attention that a residents commitee has been set up in Newquay, this is being championed by the Viscounts who reside in the house on the island at Towan beach. This residents group, working in conjunction with the police, is trying to stop beach parties and alchohol being allowed on Towan beach and other areas of the town. Their general consensus seems to be that by shutting off the beach to the public at a certain time they will be able to stop the large congregations and reduce the noise for the residents in the area. Newquay Uncovered believes this to be a disaster for both the locals of the town and the visitors who go to the beach as an alternative to the clubs or as a place to relax at the end of the night. This will now leave two alternatives for people who wish to go on the beachs, either move further up towards Tolcarne, Great Western etc or head towards Fistral.

The residents group, the so called Newquay Action Group have been discussing ways to fine new pubs and clubs in the town for the longer they open in order to try and curb the amount of people coming to the town to party. Again, Newquay Uncovered condemns this. What is going on this winter seems to be a terrible tradgedy for the 18-30's age group. The decisions being made by a small minority of people who generally have no idea what it is like to be either on the beaches at night or in the clubs, are going to have repurcussions that will ensure Newquay life is never the same again.

Sorry Intrimgym,

But I'm with the residents on this one!

Newquay has got too many beer fuelled dickheads. As far as I am concerned anything that reverses this trend and makes Newquay more like a family resort is good news in my book.

I want to see more surf tourists and families and less pissed w*nkers.

That doesn't mean of course that I don't want to see the 18-30's I do, just more of those who treat the town and people with respect.

I am sure you are one of the responsible ones who likes a drink and a laugh but doesnt take things too far, but if a reduction in Newquays party life is what it takes to get the others out then I'm afraid I'm all for it even if that means a curfew on ALL the beaches and severe restrictions on the clubs.

Alsone.

Alsone,
Just want to clarify that what i pasted in italics is NOT in anyway my opinion, just some stuff i came across written by the admin on another site. Infact I agree with what you have said very much so. Im all for less alcohol fuelled trouble in newquay, and with respect to the state the beaches are left in after the beach parties well lets not even get started on that.

Hi Nick,

I hope you don't mind me asking but I'm curious about your name.

Do you own a gym called "In Trim Gym" or is it just a tag.

Alsone.
