Newquay in october??

hi everyone, can anybody tell me what it is like in newquay in october? i am thinking of going down there to stay for my birthday with a few people and have only ever been during the summer months before...what are the beahes and surf like?

any advice would be great!

Yeah i hope the weathers gonna be ok too, I'm going around the 16th of Oct cus I'm going to an Open Day at plymouth uni and staying with some family, so hoping to catch some waves while i'm down there!

well i did think, nah, i wont bother, but then i changed my mind again, so im relying on u guys to let me know how its holding together down there.....and more importantly how many woolly jumpers i need to pack (no welsh jokes per-lease)

Yeh i'll be sure to post it up on here about the weather and stuff, and i've heard the surf is better off season anyway, as long as you have a thick wetsuit!

lolololol Dan, you can guarantee i have heard them all before anyway

not a surfer meself, so dont need a wetsuit,more of a beach lover, and i do intend spending lots of time with my head in lots of books, on my balcony overlooking the ocean

(with my woolly jumpers)

Psychology hopefully, i'm hoping to go on and do a masters, but i might take a few years out before i do that! Didnt realise how much i love newquay and well basically being by the sea, went down for a week this month and it made me realise how crap where i am now is.

what are ya studying at uni?

english and modern languages (french, spanish, italian and welsh)

im probably gonna do a masters too, but will do that part time when im teaching.
