Yeah..I had 1 of those types last year..wos hard work but enjoyed the challenge of it

Exams..hmmm...Total War Europe 1914-1955 and Film & TV history...2 totaly contrastin courses but v interestin...shall pitch myself in2 the revision wence my 2 go back...single parent life u see...no naggin utha half intrudin ur mind space...works 4 me

Think Teachin's all about the challenge Hips... if kids were all High ability super brains then it would be way too boring for my liking... I like the "challenging" 1s cos they provide the biggest surprises... especially when they do all sorts in assemblies... (don't ask, twas a frightening experience I had on final teaching placement last term... let's just say I had to remove said child due to inappropriate behaviour...!!!)... it's all why I love it. Just did my weekly plan for next week - gonna be a very easy week, looking at our summer hols (i.e. Miss Green talks Surfing all the time...!!) and what "we want to do in Willows class this year"... ah, simple I hear you think. Well, yes. All about making it as EASY as poss I say!
Canney really help actually. Did History A-level, twas European History from 1810-1945 but only did "the causes of WWII"... not much help am I? and Film&TV history... surely that's not a REAL subject hey Hips?... How old are your squids now then Hips? bless 'em hey?
Yep, that'd be a small TL driving a small corsa... thinking of buying an old Mini Cooper in Jan... which would make everything be even smaller... used to have one when I was 17 but it used to shake in the rain... not good when bombing up the M1 to Leeds Uni on an afternoon!!!

Cant argue wiv any of that..the challenge is in the appeal n I just lurrrrrve the thought that I'm makin a difference to the li'l darlins lives...sumthin I teach them just mite have an impact or sumthin sumwer down the years...like ur style...wot we did this summer...works 4 me
Causes of both world wars heavily cum in2 my course..Toatal War & Social Change full title..effect of war on society, class structure, polotics, wimin, etc...just finished 4000 word essay on the Holocaust...heavy stuff but absolutely fascinatin...Film & TV...yep...new course this year...not a big tv fan (apart from the Vice!!!) but reeeely interestin course...history of Hollywood, European n British cinema, in depth analysis of the aesthetics, social effects, financial structures, etc of the film business n an in depth look at differin genre's of tv n films n mucho more...just finished 4000 word essay 4 that on the genre of Soap Opera's, contrasted Eastenders against Dallas (u prob wont remember that 1)..kept me busy all summa in between surfs...last year took history of USA in the 20th century n also Philosophy...next years course (final 1 for the degree wiv honours bit) is Comparative History...Europe & America 1865-2000..only 1 course next year thankfully...more surfin methinx!!!
My 2 r growin fast...too fast...daughters 14 n takn up where mum left off...mouthin off..naggin..moanin...still daddys li'l gal tho..allways will be...son's 12...like his dad...free spirit...spent the aftanoon catchin the waves down on Western 2getha...boyz n there toyz n all dat..single parent life..lot 2 be said 4 it

Hey Hips! glad you feel the same about teachin... upsets me when some peeps are doin it for a few yrs to make some £££ then they do sommat else... it's such a cool job and the kids are the best. The otha teach people will get used to me... bless em they're just stuck in their ways... some have been there teachin togetha for 30 yrs!!! Then there's me who comes in as an NQT and tries to do things a bit differently? we'll see how I get on!!
Film n TV sounds cool actually mate. Really cool. Good on u for picking that 1. Not sure about comparing Eastenders to Dallas tho dude (& yes I DO remember Dallas... just... who shot JR an all?!!!) bit too much like analysying for my bag... but hey... you like wot you like right?
Mini - cool. Hoping that I can get the boy to shell out the money for it tho - am getting him into my way of thinking on that one... perhaps may struggle getting the boards on the roof tho... neva tried it with my old 1... bit a challenge there methinks!!!

Ah Hips you're making me well up man... Today was great! I have THE best class in the skool... and they're really cool. I'm workin my magic re: surfin... one kid said that he wants to learn about waves and how big they are this year... and he'd jus come back from body boardin (... in Whitby, but hey - he needs to start somewhere right?...) with his cousin. I felt proud! They're just grand Hips - such a good feeling knowing that they are all mine - bless 'em. One even brought me a packet of cereal because she thought I may have missed brekkie - now that just makes you melt...! Great.
Likin the idea of a roofless mini - think that it could work... would look pretty cool too...
I am sensible when things require me to be so - I just it's more fun to be a little unsensible most of the time. Never do anything unresponsible when I'm at school - not fair on the kids is it? but when I'm on my own or with friends its a different matter.
Was good the other night - much fun before the onslaught of skool!
Bet Newquay's much better now it's quieter isn't it? Oh and the surf...? I can but dream at the moment! AM jealous Hips. Very jealous!
