Decent, cheap place to stay please...

OK, so me and a fair few of my friends, not sure how many yet, of both sexes are planning a trip to cornwall after GCSEs in July probs, but our biggest problem is our distinct lack of cash. Most of the places I've come across have been about £140-£150 per person for a week, which isn't bad but cheaper would be better!
Could anyone help me out on somewhere fun, cheap, relaxed (ie ok with a bunch of 16 yr olds clogging up their rooms for a week) thats not too far from town?
Thanks, much love

xxxx emma xxxx

me and 4 other girls are going to newquay and staying in newquay surf lodge after our gcse's for £140 each, i dont think that there are any other lodges cheaper than that they are basically all the same price have you tried looking at cottages to rent? hope to see you there ~nicola~

if you're looking for cheap don't bother looking at cottages. i'd say £140 for a week isn't bad...however, most places do ask for a deposit.
you considered camping? this is deffo the cheapest option

Cheers yeah we considered camping and although it's cheaper and probably a laugh...I think most of us are too girly to cope with a week of it! Yes we're laaaame. So far I think it's for the Newquay Surf Lodge... still no one can agree *shakes head*

Ta for the aid, any more advice of where to stay what to do etc muchly appreciated

Lol think i keep banging on about base surf lodge. we paid £100 for 5 nites but bascially stayed for 6 full days so y not stay for one nite less and leave ure stuff there for the last day kinda gives u a week. Will save u a bit of money anyways.
They took someones provisional lisence for a deposit coz we looked poor apparently!!! so u might be able to blag that! lol

ummm yea im with Cherrydrop (nicola) we are going up after gcse's and i know quite a few people planning on doing the same so i would book soonish so you get a good choice of places. Can i just say that Base surf lodge is good and everything and right next to Fistral beach but it doesnt have a kitchen and so people buy there meals at sommerfields, which could add up if your on a budget. We are going to Newquay Surf Lodge which has a kitchen where you can cook your dinner b4 u go out in the evening- pasta is v cheap and nice- cya there Josie x

mmm, yea some girls i know are going up to newquay 1st week of July and there is 13 of them. They left the booking till yesterday and basically everywhere was full, they finally booked into Fistral Back packers as they had some rooms, but i dont think they have a kitchen, might be wrong on that. Good luck of getting stuff organised in time!

you dont have to have a kitchen. chips ? ready made sandwiches? cafe ? resturant ?

might be a bit more expensive but if there is no kitchen its not such a big deal
