whats wrong with sharing a room with other people?! that's what surf lodges and hostels are all about - if you want a private room, think about booking into a guest house, b&b or a hotel.

well ye i see you point. but its the kinda thing that would either make or break your holiday aint it. would be ace if we were sharing with some decent people - nice to meet some new ppl! but on the other hand if we were sharing with a bunch of docuhebags then it would ruin it really. neho i cant really afford to risk it!

Newquay Reef Surf Lodge on Springfield Road is a fantastic place to stay. I have been going back there for about 5 years now. It is basic but always very clean and the staff are very friendly. For what you are paying it is excellent value for money. There are rules in place but it is a realxed atmosphere. There is a kitchen and lounge area where you can meet other guests and drink before you go out. Rooms are a good size, clean with storage areas for clothes and the showers are powerful and always hot. If you request an en suite they will always do their best to try and give it to you.
Newquay Reef Surf Lodge is situated right in the centre of the nightlife. It has a supermarket just down the road.
As for ID they are getting stricter but most people can still get in.

I have stayed at Reef Surf lodge on Berry road and yes it looked prettier but staff were rude, showers were rubbish and you could not drink in your rooms or the lounge unless you were buying their over priced alcohol.

I truly couldnt recommend anywhere better than NEWQUAY REEF SURF LODGE on Springfield road. Make sure you get the right one as there are others with similar names and that are nowhere near as good.

Thank you mate for the review as most people don't bother once they've been.
