Hi I am looking for somewhere to stay overnight on the a30, not too expensive either, i know there is somewhere that does cheap rooms, similar to a travel inn, I have passed it many times on the left as I am travelling to newquay, but I dont know where it is or what it is called, any ideas would be greatly appreciated !!

There is a HOLIDAY INN just outside of LEWDOWN on the A30 near the TAMAR borders and some bed and breakfasts further along on the Cornish side but the smaller places will be difficult to find on the net.

I do know the place you mean in your post as well but can't remember the name either!

I'd look at somewhere like PLYMOUTH or LAUNCESTON for a B&B as its easy to get back onto the A30.

If you let me know where it roughly is I will have a look for you. I am travelling down to Summercourt near Newquay on Friday for Easter with my parents. I dont know whether that is too late for you?!

Is it actually on the A30 or is it on one of the roads into Newquay? I cant recall seeing anywhere like you describe.

Let me know if I can help

Alistair

Unfortunatly I didnt see what you were looking for on the way to Newquay. Due to the volume of traffic on the A30 past Launceston I decided to go a different way (Atlantic Highway through Camelford) to my parents to avoid the roadworks for the new A30 stretch. Apart from a few tractors, it worked!!

Sorry mate!!
