Hi - Spent few days in Newquay last spring and had some good days surfing as a beginner. Stayed at esplanade which was something out of the 70s Been bit more since and me & my gf just had 10 days surfing in Biarritz - missing it already and planning next escape to the coast. Have a course inland so figure can grab 3 days/2 nights in Newquay Aug26/27. Remember the places to stay near the headland were excellent for location to fistral but looked a bit 1830s - is there anywhere a bit more chilled anyone could recommend? Def liked the red lion pub! Anyone stayed at zen or driftwood? Cheers shevz
