Summer 2008- place to stay

Hey,

I'm going away to Newquay this year for the first time!! I'm so excited!

I wouldn't if anyone had any recomendations of B&B's or Surf Lodges. I'm looking for someone who does double ensuite rooms for me and my boyfriend (we'll be 18 and 21).
Can anywhere reccomend somewhere that is clean and nice and really close to the town and beaches.

We're going with a group of friends but they have already booked into a b&b and we want somewhere separate.

Thanks xxx

Welcome to the forum.

As we say to most people asking this question look at the homepage (not the forum page) for links to B&B's/Surf Lodges etc.

There are a fair few sticky threads on this forum offering advice & use the forum search facility as well in your quest!

Most of Newquays lodges are between 5 to 20 minutes of the main beaches.

Goofy's I believe is now owned by someone else from when it first opened, but is near the junction of DANE ROAD whilst actually being on HEADLAND ROAD. This means FISTRAL is 5 mins one way & the town 3 minutes the other with the RED LION round the corner.

It was very good when it first opened, but as of now with the new owner no idea. Always looks tidy when I walk by though.

Hey,

Some brilliant surf lodges down in newquay.

There's Newquay Surf Lodge (www.newquaysurflodge.co.uk) located on Springfield Road, about 1 minute from the Co-op and a couple of minutes from the pubs and clubs.

The only downside is that it's a bit of a trek getting to Fistral Beach (about ten minutes)

Failing there, try Airborne Lodge. This is right next door to the Somerfield which is a lot closer to Fistral and is still very close to town, without being in the town itself.

I should be going down again this summer and have a few places in mind that haven't been to before, if you would like me to send you the list just let me know.

To be honest along HEADLAND ROAD there are loads of surf lodges, B&B's etc. that you can stay which put you near town & Fistral.
