Hello all, this is my first post so please excuse me if my etiquette is a little off!..

Me and "the boys" just booked a random few days down in Newquay with intent on soaking up some rays, chillin' out and getting rather reckless at night.

we're staying at Fistral backpackers, the website looked alright and the location seemed spot-on.. the problem is;

ive read a few bad reviews of the place, things like it being pretty dirty, and the lack of any decent security for all yer' gear. basically the place sounds in need of a bit of TLC, (it cant be THAT bad can it?) for 16 quid a night you get what you pay for, but the logic behind this is, 'more money for food and beer'

was this a baaad idea?

Having said all that we're down early on monday 28th july and we're there for the week. any other people there at similar times?, a bit of extra crew members might take some of the negatives off the reviews to the lodge.
