I want a SurfBoard and I want one NOW!!!!

Nice title

I'm going to buy my own surf board in Novemeber or December.. Im basicly a beginner but can still ride most waves I attempt to ride.
I am used to a 6'8 NSP that I rent all the time from Fristal Beach.

Basicly seeking any advice on what surf board I should aim for.. Hoping its not gonna cost a arm and a leg!
Also what kinda wax and whats best way to apply it, any tips and advice basicly would be fantastic.

Also I notice some boards have 3 fins at end, some 2 and some 1.... Whats diffrence and what should I be aiming to get?
Are surfboards sold as complete?

How big are you? - the fact you've been learning on such a short board seems to suggest you're quite small and light.

Thats going to influence suggestions from the experienced surfers on here as board size is always relative to your physical size.

A 6' 8" is a shortboard to a 6' tall 14 stone bloke but a long board to a 4' tall 6 stone kid!

It was kinda aiming for charlie and the choclate factory song....

Golden Egg.

oh well

Yea Im about 10 stone and extremely toned and not too tall I always found a 6'8 comfortable to use and control basicly.

Any advice?

Now is the best time to buy a board.I suggest you get down to Tunnel Vision, because you get get a great deal with second hand boards at the moment.
