Moving to Newquay Landords agencies WANTED!

Hi,

I’m planning on moving to Cornwall in a few months time after I have done some research into living costs. I’m also building a database of letting agents.

The property I am interested in renting is as followed.

2 - 3 bed roomed House in Newquay (walking distance to amenities, post office shops ect)

Double glazed

Garage (if possible but not essential)

Security alarmed

£400 - £600 rent pcm

Can anybody help me build a databse of landlords or agents please?

Cheers

Exclamation

Look on the net for landlords and agents. Also for what you want, you have to be thinking £600 to £800 a month.Oh and have at least £1000 to £1500 for a deposit.

I talk through experience.

Hey,

I can sell you rocking horse poo.

I just can't help you with a garage!

Hi mate.

I moved down here fairly recently, and found it to be quite bloody difficult. I would say that you'l struggle to meet your requirements within that budget. Also , I would say that if/when you manage to find somewhere be carefull that it isn't a holiday let, some landlords will bend the truth to get some winter income . Try www.thisiscornwall.co.uk , and 'Start and Co' , 'David Ball' amongst others.

I've lived down here for 7 years and seen the rents rise with the house prices I'd say for what you want you'll have to pay about £700 pcm. Anything cheap gets snapped up before it even gets advertised.

I've since moved out of Newquay to get a better property for less money. Rather have the money in my pocket than a greedy property agents.

Start & Co I found to be a bunch of arses. About as helpful as a chocolate fireguard Even when they knew I had more than enough income to pay for the rent they still treated me like shit.

David Ball are quite good though but not cheap.

I used www.cornwallhomeseekers.co.uk when I moved down as they had no agency fee back then, probably do now. They were very very nice and friendly.

Hope that helps a little.

OP

P.S: I may be looking at a house share soon though to get the rent down, anyone interested?
