Buying a pop out?

Hi,
Iam not entirely new to surfing but would sort of say iam around a begginer/intermdiate standard of surfing, I can surf absolutly fine on a 7"6 mini mal after much renting.

Now I have a decent winter suit and am looking to buy a board for myself. I found a board on ebay for around £20, it is a "free bird" - "pop - out". I realise that pop out boards have a zero coolness rating but that iam not bothered about that , however are they really awfull or will they allow me to progress?...here is the link for it btw:

Should i look for say a 6"8 NSP instead?

I wouldn't waste the money on a pop out personally. I would get a decent second hand board.

I once had a pop out which was okay but given the time again I wouldn't bother.
