Rosecliston or Matts Surf Lodge

Hi,
Coming to Newquay end of July. Best to stay at Rosecliston Campsite or Matts Surf Lodge? Who's been to either of them, please give me some feedback!

Thanks

i'd go with rosecliston personally! been there now for the last 4 or 5 summers and i still love it. depends on whether you like camping or not i spose! surf lodges are good tho cos if you've got wet gear there's somewhere to dry it unlike a campsite. i just love the whole atmosphere at rosecliston cos everyones really matey and if you run outta money like us last year the dude in the shop gives you free toast - much appreciated! going down again this year on july 7th for a couple of weeks so maybe see you there!

ahh the dude in the shop quite a character isnt he. he actually owns the site along with his sister and her husband. bet he never told u that . personally i didnt like the ppl that ran the place (dude in shop excluded) they used to patrol the site from 12 onwards making sure u didnt bring anyone back that hadnt payed and if u made any noise they would come down on u as if ure a bunch of kids. to be fair 50% of the site were kids but never the less irritating. apart from that the 3 months i stayed there were pretty enjoyable.

Send a message via MSN to channy666
i went to roseclistons last year
it was pretty good but if you dont drive then you need to get the shuttle bus. which is good unless your surfing because the driver is a right nazi if you trail sand or water onto the bus.
this year i might go to matt's surf lodge but unsure
