Overnight Campervanning

Ok, have my VW campervan, but don;t want to stay in a campsite 10 miles from the beach...

Where are the closest campsites for a van?

Cheers

Tony

hi

I have a 62 splitty, what van do you have ?
I normaly camp at watergate bay campsite. its only about 1/4 mile from the beach with a big carpark next to the beach.
Its a great site and when the van breaks down (which lets face it happens time to time..) its only a 5 min walk with your board!
I spent the whole of last summer there in the van and walked down almost every down to the beach.

Most site will omly allow you to book for a minimum one week but if you just turn up at Trenance they may be able to get you on somewhere.

Hey 62microbus. I've just returned from Newquay and am planning on spending next summer down there in my type 2 bus. How much was it to stay at Watergatebay? I've been quoted £50 a week at Riverside campsite for long term.

Im not sure how much discount you would get at watergate, we just kept asking to stay a bit longer each week as we were planning to move on but never did! I do know discounts are avalible so its worth asking.
