sunnyside camping
Me and a group of mates are planning to go camping at sunnyside, newquay. Is it good camping there, or are we better off getting a caravan?
Plus, how far is the beach from sunnyside? i cant find out its location at newquay.
Cheers

Hey turbomatt,
I am also going to sunnyside this year, my g/f and me are going to bring along our own tent. What i found out about sunnyside is the following; beaches are quite far (we are planning to rent bikes for the holiday), but there is also a shuttle bus service from the campsite, but i do not know if this is only for the evenings/nights...
When are you going to Sunnyside and why did you choose this campsite?
Kind regards Maarten

Sunnyside
Hi Guys,
Well each to there own and all that but i reckon Sunnyside was the best place to stay, I reckon you'll have a buzzing time there. In July when we went last year the shuttle bus ran from early in the morn till about 3am. Its a wicked site loads to do, 5 a side footy pitch, club, pub, offy etc! Caravan we stayed in was really nice we had one of the big ones had a few gud laughs in there after falling home drunk! Met some really cool people there to I would definalty recommend it to anyone.
Have fun and happy hols

Ahh... Sunnyside, the memories. A group of 5 of us have been down twice in two years but i wouldn't have thought we'll be going again, its not that bad, but i think we might be a little too old now (22)
Pros
It's a quality site if you just want to get hammered 24/7 and if you enjoy the company of 16-17 year olds. The people are very friendly and its easy to make loads of friends really quickly. If your looking to get wild it's spot on, the majority have no inhibitians and the general line of thought down there is ''we are young, free, on holiday and don't give a f*ck!!'' Once you put that wristband on you are part of the Sunnyside massive and people all over Newquay know where your from (this can be both good and bad) The staff are pretty cool as well (one in particular was a diamond in bed)
Cons
At Sunnyside no one gives a toss about you, any problems you have are pretty much ignored and you are basically told to sort it out yourself (be careful because it doesn't take much for them to keep your deposit) its about 20-25 mins (in taxi) from Newquay town centre and the facilities are worn out, old and dirty.
The security is quite poor although there are guards that walk around (usually selling weed they have confiscated). The pool has been freezing everytime i've been, the shop is quite expensive and the on site club is a joke
So to summarise if you're ok with cons then you'll have a wicked time, if your looking for a quiet, respectable site, look anywhere bit Sunnyside!!

Sunnyside is better!
Hi guys, Just got back from an easter break at Sunnyside and after staying there the year before I think the site has improved alot.
Although only the pub, offy and shop was open, the atmosphere was good everyone seemed to be having a good time. The pub has changed I think its called the blue bar or something like that, got a few free shots in there before heading into town. We had welcome letters when we arrived and it seems its under new management and they seem to have a few changes in store for the place this summer.
My overall opinion of the place I would give it 8/10, the staff were very helpful and the place its self was good, the bus serivce ran regulary into town till 3am, which was good. The caravan itself was clean, basic and practial. Dont forget though if you do go they dont supply the bedding, a few girls in the caravan next to us all forgot theres, we offered to keep them warm didnt go down to well though!! lol
Newquay itself is a very cool place, i enjoyed my time there and hope to go back for run to the sun, i have heard the town will be buzzing that weekend.
Where ever you all stay have a fun and happy summer!!!!!!!!!

Just how sexy are you??
Going down that week myself, theres 11 off us ( some sexy some not so) coming all the way down from Liverpool.
Now after reading some of the threads on here such ' I am 23 year and a little old to be going Sunnyside' and the fact that we are a fair few years older than that. Well was hoping you are as sexy as you say you are and you know, could boost our social standing during the week (actual details to be discussed).

id rather smoke crack than stay at sunnyside again, it was full of pricks and the staff were ****ers when we went, in fact we left half way thgouh the holiday to go to smugglers which was much better. and when we went to leave they wanted to know why and we said becsue their staff were rude and we didnt like the site.
when we got to smugglers they had called ahead and said we had smashed the site up and not to let us on
****s
anyway that was 2 years ago and we have been going to smugglers since
loads nicer and not so many nazi rules to keep to.

reakon the best site (that ive been recommended by so many ppl) is rosecliston! it has great facilities, plus fistral beach (the place to be) is so close, they have a great taxi service and bars/clubs are close by.
