Treago Campsite

We're going to a site called Treago next week, it's above Crantock beach and looks pretty quiet - has anyone ever been there? Any info on it would be great.

Oh and it's my first time to Newquay - any tips?!

Lovely place

Yeah I used to always stay there before I moved down. It is a lovely place only a short walk from Crantock / Porth Joke beaches, watch out for the cows at Porth Joke they try and eat ya surfboards. It also has a lovely chilled out bar in the rafters of the old barn. Crantock also has a couple of nice pubs, The Albion and The Bowgie in West Pentire.

May see you in the Bowgie sometime as I often pop in there

No worries

Yeah the family that run Treago are really nice and chilled too. The site's nice and quiet but they do allow groups of blokes or girls on but I never had any problems regarding noise.

If you need any info on Newquay then just drop me a line

Talking Hooked!

Wow, we had a great time, the weather was perfect, it's a gogeous place round there and we even managed to do a bit of surfing (not that we can really call it that yet!)

I'm definitely hooked, it's a beautiful area and Treago is tops... it's great doing some proper camping and so close to the beach. Bring on the next trip, we'll all be back!

Yes we went up there on Tuesday night, it was quiet but great sitting out the front overlooking the bay. Other than that we didn't venture out much, we'll have to try and catch up with some of you locals next time and see more than the campsite and beach!

Thanks for your advice, we'll be in touch again on our next trip down, hopefully not too far away......

See ya!
