16 Year olds camping

To be honest this is a bit off topic in a newquay forum, but if someone could help it'd be grand. Basically, I'm planning to go away with a few friends who are all 16 to cornwall for a week, and initially thought i'd be a cliché and go to Newqay, but am not sure about how dodgy it'll be tryin to get accomodation and drink when we're under 18. I've been told that it might be a better idea just to go somewhere nearish by that doesn't have such a reputation for 16 year old bingers! If so, anywhere in mind? I don't really fancy blagging being 18 and getting the train from Sussex only to be turned away.
Also any other general tips about dealing with being 16 in this situation would be appreciated. ta

There are sticky threads in the general section of this forum regarding fake ID's, alcohol etc. Hence why they are at the top of the relevant sections as announcements or stickies ...

They are there for a reason & you get caught with fake ID which they are bloody hot on then that's your life & future ruined as its not a trumped up charge people.

Cornwall as a whole is hot on certain things especially during the "Tourist Season" as there are so many clubs & bars that fight to have their licences & there not prepared to lose them over a mass of under 18's.

CALUM - In answer to your question then if you want to surf then stay with the north coast. If you just want to chill then there are plenty of coves & places by the beach to stay that are in all the tourist guides & websites. Watergate Bay is quite cool with the Extreme Academy & you can get a bus on the coastal road to Newquay as well from there!

As far as getting down there if you book in advance I have been informed a train can be cheaper as well as quicker. Just google National Rail Enquiries & see what they come up with. Most under 18's & bloody tax dodging students get good train discounts
