Arriving at night - need to buy tents

Hi, my friends and I are arriving by plane in Newquay at 7.00pm and we need to buy tents and sleeping bags somewhere before checking into our campsite (Smugglers Haven).

Do you think there will be anywhere near the airport or near the campsite (if not, in the city centre) to buy a tent and sleeping bags? And how much do you think they will cost?

If not, we will be stuck for the night with nothing to sleep in.

Thanks in advance for your help. jx

I don't think that you are going to be able to find anywhere open at that time of night..

There definitely won't be a shop at the airport (it's tiny!!) and shops in the town like Woolworths (if it is still there!), which I think sell tents, will be closed at around sixish I think.

Sorry I can't be much help!!

Over the years less & less shops do the evening opening times.

Normally end of July to August you get some places staying open till 09.30pm - 10.00pm for the tourist trade, but this early in the year I doubt it.

Not sure if the large MORRISON's near TRELOGGAN does 24 opening, most MORRISONS don't & I can't think of any large supermarkets that near to the airport - especially as you have no car.

You'll need to purchase before you go me thinks ...

Failing that phone the campsite & ask if theuy sell, but you'll probably find if they do it will more expensive as obviously they are there to make a profit.
