Question Camp site close to the beach? Help!

Can anybody out there help me? I want to stay in Newquay for one week this summer - august preferably, camping with my mates. We are looking for a camp site that will allow a party of people to stay and also has to be close to the beach - Fistral please, so if anybody knows of a suitable location i will be most gratefull.

I am not aware of any camp sites that are within walking distance of fistral. There is a camp site close to watergate beach but i cant remember its name.

There are no non-family campsites in the centre of Newquay, the nearest to fistral is called Rosecliston, it's fairly lively, i work in the campsite bar to fund my surfing summer there! if you want pure dirt and slags go to Sunnyside it is further out and scummyer but its a totally 'anything goes' site!
I'm not familiar with the Watergate bay end of town campsites.

Mate, the camp site near Watergate Bay is called Trevelgue, I think, it's about 5-10min drive anyway and is far more spacious than Sunnyside. That said though S/Side does have a hell of lot of cheap women.

CAMPSITE FOR THE DUDE WHO ASKED

DUDE!(OR MAY I CALL YOU BARRY?)
THE CAMPSITE THAT I WOULD RECOMMEND , IF ONLY FOR THE GREAT PITCHES AND TASTY B*****S IS "TREVORNICK" AT HOLLYWELL BAY.CLOSE ENOUGH FOR A BUS JOURNEY TO FISTRAL AND GREAT SUNSET'S OVER THE BAY FOR STROLL WITH A LOVELY LADY!
SERIOUSLY THE SITE IS VERY GOOD,CLEAN,WELL APPOINTED AND NOT TO EXPENSIVE.

I stayed at Trevelgue (aka Smugglers haven) about three years ago. There were 8 of us staying in a Chalet (Sounded posh but it aint) that was the size of a shoe box. The walls were damp, the ceiling was caving in, there was no heating and I split up with the girl that I'd gone down there with.

It was possibly the best holiday I've ever had !!!!. If you get a few of you there then you can't beat it !!

There's a bus that goes from the site to Newquay every half hhour that used to cost a pound so you can get around easily. There's even a club on site !
The camp sit is huge with good on site facilities and there was a good mix (Many women).

Avoid it on the August bank holiday though. It's too crammed !!

Angry

'Dirt and slags'? Absolutely charming! Well, i didn't see anyone complaining. Me and a massive group of mates stayed at sunnyside last year and had a brilliant time! Anything goes! As for not being as spacious as smugglers - its quality not quantity. Come on now mate - sunnyside is hardly small!
