i went to a pub (think it was called) the fort?

they have a lovely garden overlooking the beach. i'd pay abit extra to see that anyday.- plus it was quite a nice family place, hence no chav scum acting hard at the bar, trying to impress the barmainds. eugh. me and my m8s go purely for the beach- 3 of them dont drink so we tend to go for the quieter places

(listen to me! - i'm 19 for god's sake)

Thumbs up

My old local The Red Lion use to be a fantastic place for those that loved surfing.

Most evening locals, Kiwi's, Aussies & those with a love of surf would meet up for a cold one & to watch three old portable TV's linked up to the VCR to watch surfing or other extreme sports that the landlord would record off a new thing called satillite TV

Soon was taken on on other bars around town though, the first being the Newquay Arms I believe.

They also had the highest bloody ceilings ever as there were lobster pots & a rowing boat up there with the thickest cobwebs & the darkest corners known to man !!! Think of the film Lost Boys at the end where the younger brother was scanning the ceiling with a light for the vampire. I was always waiting for the night a large kick arse spider dropped down to order a cold one

Then they went & ruined it with a referb, low ceiling, air con etc. thought still had a few more good years in there ... until I found my new current local

In fact, you'll find me in there this Saturday
