Beach Party!
Calling all SurfNewquay dudes and dudettes!!!!
I'm in the middle of organising a couple of events down in Newquay and i'm basically testing the waters for interest at this point
Event 1 (SUNDAY JULY 3rd) A BEACH SOCCER 6 tournament on Fistral Beach, i'd basically require 8 or more teams of 4 lads/girls (with 2 subs, & no member under the age of 16) you would need to be available from 2pm Sunday afternoon, until late evening (7ish) depending on how successful you are obviously. There will be small trophies and prizes inc. booze and free club entry for the winners and runners up. For more details email me smiller@4s-uk.com
Event 2 (SUNDAY JULY 3rd) THE BEACH PARTY on Fistral. The current plan would be to wrap up the tournament late evening by means of little presentation for the victors. Then possibly (depending on Police presence) fire up a nice little bar-b in order to line the stomachs, then kick off the beerfest just in time for sunset at Sunset.
If you can play guitar or have any vocal talents i would love to hear from you on the above email
If you would like to book your team in, need more information or would like to offer any assistance for the two events, drop me an email and i'll get back to you as soon as i can. Until then i'll be looking forward to that Sunset!!

Do you realise that there is the Quiksilver Grommet Surf Contest on Fistral that day?.It might be a bit arkward to hold a beach soccer 6 tournament and beach party on the day.

Still Happening!
Yeah thanks for the heads up Stormrider
I understand your concern and you can be sure i was aware of the event. To be fair you probably know that Fistral is a nice size and shouldn't have too many problems catering for a small soccer tournament. I'm hoping people will take an interest in the Footy and the Surfing, after all we're all down there to let our hair down and enjoy!
The competition will have Fistral packed out and although i didn't wish to say so, i had counted on the masses to join us for the late night 'unofficial' beach party.
I also wanna make clear to anyone planning to make an appearence at the 'GTB by the sea' Beach Party that it's totally free but you will have to bring own beverages etc....
For everyone interested. The events will go ahead as stated above

There's no way on gods earth you'll get away with a beach party and/or campfire on Fistral!! Being the main beach, Its patrolled at regular intervals by the police. You need a quiet cove, where the fire cannot be seen from the road, and where the music cannot be heard by other people. sorry to be a party pooper, but Great Western Beach has an I deal spot if you need another location.

I have just got back from Newquay, and i never saw or heard of any beach parties happening.I did see police range rovers patroling the beaches at night.
Still,it was a good day today weather wise for beach soccer.

when i was in newquay last year there was a woman sitting at traffic lights on the phone with no seatbelt on. a police officer walking across the road at the time seen this. signalled nicely to finish the convorsation, and to also put her seatbelt on (this is quite hard to explain so bear with me)
my point is that if that happened in b'ham, there would be a 60 quid fine, at least 3 points on your license- and your car will be checked to see if its stoled, tyres for tread etc etc.
i was shocked to say the least. it was very funny

The police are bring more officers from outside the area for this year,as last year was so bad.And these outside officers are more strict, but saying that they are working the night shift.
