Just joined

Hi everyone,

Just thought i would say hello to everyone on the forum. Posted a thread earlier about longboard hire, so if anyone has any info about renting a longboard it would be appreciated. Will be driving down to Newquay next Friday afternoon after work for the weekend with 5 others (if we ever get there 'coz of traffic!!).

Anyway, if any one can help me with renting a longboard i will be grateful.

Al

Hi!!

Originally from Carlisle but live in Derby now after going to ubi here. Down in Newquay quite a bit as my parents live in a place called Retyn, just outside Quintrell Downs.

What about you? Are you from Newquay?

Hi ya,
Good that your parents live down here

I dont live in newquay- i am closer to polzeath.
newquay is about half an hour drive,

Surprisingly i havent surfed many Newquay beaches, tend to stay local to me- although have surfed fistral- usually at the end of the season (september time)

Hi Al,

if you ever get fed up with Newquay, give one our other gr8t surfing beaches a lookin. Polzeath is quite a nice bay and Sennen is just awesome. Have a good stay in Cornwall, hope the surf picks up for ya.

I had a look at Sennen when i was down last...it looked really busy. I think i might give it a try when the season is over.

I have only been surfing a little while and prefer quieter places at the moment as I dont have alot of experience. Any recommendations for quiet places in the summer months? (if that is possible!!!).
I did surf at Great Western but got swamped by the surf school there as the flags were put quite close together and there were about 25 of them!!. We then went to Watergate Bay, which i really enjoyed and wasn't too busy.
