Anyone with past experience...

...Of moving to Newquay basically, since i am dying to go for a while in the summer.
I know there are tonnes of threads like this, but I havent seen one yet where somebody has actually talked lots about what they did etc. I'm sorry if this is a crappy post that has been done millions of times, please don't shoot.

no ones goona shoot you as long as you dont ask what clubs you can get into under 16 or where you can find birds to pull lol
Depends how much money you have, if you want to work / not work. me and my partner went for 3 months a few summers ago and basicly stayed in our van at watergate bay campsite and just surfed most days and layed on the beach. did not alot and had a good time. Alot of people get jobs at a bar or shop and surf as much as poss.
what sort of things are u thinking of doing? what sort of place do u want to stay in (tent / caravan / hotel / flat etc)
if u have any questions ask away.

Lol, well I'll be 18 when I go and I'm planning on bringing my girlfriend who wouldn't appreciate me pulling other birds so, you know.

That sounds kinda like my plan, but I don't really know where to stay. I'm thinking about a flat or b&b or something like that. We'd probably only be there for a month so, although we could end up going for like a weekend. Depends on everything else thats happening.

If we're there for a month then I'll probably work. I wouldn't really know what else to do except work and surf. which sounds amazing to me. To be honest, i did think about forgetting about university and just surfing and working for a year. But I dunno about that yet. There's so much going on right now its such a pain working everything out.

Sounds awesome...sorry to hear about the hair by the way (I know it was january but I only joined couple days ago and felt the need to commiserate. I am having so much trouble convincing her to come with me, I know if she'd just surfed before I' have no probs.

I've already started getting overtime to make sure I've got plenty of money for the summer.

Go for it guys,we all spend too much time worrying bout things instead of doing what we really want to do.I have a family to support now so i m happily tied but when i was younger i had a do it now attitude.Whats the worst that can happen......if things dont work out we merely change plans.Stay positive and hope it all works out whatever you decide to do. Thing is with that, I already applied and the nearest university to cornwall I applied to is Bristol. I'm also a med school applicant so nearest I can get withthat would be exeter and I'd still have to wait a year. I really wanna just do the whole surf thing though, and I know as a doc Ill never find the time! This would be the point where i start writing out everything I've been thinking but I don't really know what i'll end up doing. I still gotta work on my girlfriend and I already commited to going to turkey with my family...so I dont have a clear month to go in, the only way I will get to newquay is if I pay off that holiday to come to cornwall...which is bloody tempting.

Till it comes to txt spk lol!
I've spent the last couple weeks winding myself up over this trying to work out a way to go. Still trying to convince my dad to go, then I'll be able to drive about down there...but he's too wuss for the sea to be cold.
