Exclamation Can anyone help with a problem we have?

Hi I am coming to newquay on the 8th July for a week with some friends. We have all our accomodation and everything booked up now, and on the day we leave (15th) we need to be out of our accomodation at 10am, however our coach doesnt leave until 10.30pm which means that we have 12 hours and no where to put 14 suitcases. We have tried to move our coach forward but we cant. I have already spoken to the accomodation and national express and they cant help us with where to put the suitcases, and i have spoken to someone else and he might be able to help, but we need as many ideas as possible or we will be stuck with 14 suitcases.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks
Annie

if you go straight to the site, they usually have a locked holding area, because of the high volumes of people in your position.

where abouts are you staying btw?

We are staying at Tregustick holiday park, they are refurbishing at the moment so they have no where that we can keep the suitcases and National express dont have any lockers we can put them in so we are actually stuck with where to put them.

Just a thought so don't get your hopes up!

I seem to think there are lockers at the Fistral Surf Centre or maybe even the Extreme Academy, Watergate Bay.

Might be worth a look?

If its a nice day then stay on one of the beaches with your cases like TOWAN & then make your way up to the coach station area about 8.30pm / 9pm. I think you'll find the lockers on fistral won't take suitcases anyway as there not big.

How many of you are there going anyway ... don't say four with fourteen suitcases please You could always downsize what your taking ...

There are 14 of us going, we dont really want to drag them round with us because its 12 hours with the suitcases and it really limits the stuff that we can do that day.

Here we go.. back to suitcases

You're only going for a week and it's july so hopefully hot... so...

The solution:
You don't need a suitcase - just a small bag with a few bits and bobs in it that you won't mind lugging around for 12 hours. The other solution is to bring a big suitcase and every day parcelforce what you've already worn back home leaving you with an empty suitcase on the last day.

Sorted.

Hello Benji! What an excellent site.

Suitcases...hmmm....can be a problem, I would recommend travelling light, or hiring someone to carry them for you! Seriously there are plenty of splendid people with large vans that are full of surf gear during the night, but empty during the day whilst they hit the break. Perhaps you could ask one of these friendly folks for the hire of an empty van as storage for the day by way of some remuneration?

I mean if I had a large van, and say, you had a couple of bottles of claret..........

i bring 2 pairs of jeans, 3 shorts, about 5 t-shirts and a jumper, then alternate!

its the best way. more room for beer, bbq food, BBq, coals, boards, inflatable crap that everyone has to bring but never uses, random stuff that seems like a good idea at the time. (last years was a water bomb slingshot- talk about a chav magnet. god knows why though ) plus the two passengers..my poor car...

haha. seriously though, lighter is the way to go. unfortunatly if they are having a refurb, it looks unlikely you'll find a place to keep that amount of luggage even for a few hours. unless you get some people to stay on site for a few hours til they let you in, or do shifts. i estimate that you'll be arriving at approx 12pm?? (thats when the train used to arrive when i took it) and they'll let you in at three, or they might even just tell you to leave it in another place they have temporarily. have you rang them and asked?
