hello keona
Thanks for welcoming me earlier. I don't know if you mind taking advice from a girl. i started surfing in 2000 so i haven't been doing it all my life, but changing a board is a big step. if you surf regular, as in all the time, not right foot forward, then its not so bad but if its off and on your ability decreases and so does you strenght and you can find yourself coming back to surf and your new board stopping you progress. If you definatly want a new board then its worth looking at some kind of fish, a progression board to get you from mini mal to short board, it can be a lot shorter but should be quite thick and wide relative to its length as the extra volume will help you catch more waves and make the board more stable. lots of people in your situation go for something too small, you will make it hard for yourself and get better slower. also lastly, dont buy a gun, big wave boards are long and thin look beautifull, but will do your surfing no good at all. They are made for the big stuff, to go relly fast and not to be lose. in smaller stuff they just don't work. good luck with it and let me know what you get.
On a totally different subject have you heard about this Coolio gig in newquay, i think its the 30th of april, i wanna find where to get ticketts from. any ideas would be great.

Hi kimberley, never minded taking advice from females.....being married,it sort of comes with the ring, wanted or not Thanks for the advice,i am surfing a lot more as i sort of wind down my football "career" so iam hoping for a steady improvement....my mates would prob say anything is an improvement on my football but thats another story.Got to say iam pretty open minded as to what board i get and i ll also keep the faithful mini mal so ill keep you posted.

As far as coolio goes...sorry hun,ive no idea whats happening as im landlocked up in the frozen north at the mo.If you think you know the venue id give them a ring to confirm/get tickets.Happy hunting,kw
