Exclamation Desperately Seeking Surf

Hi all and one
Looking to get a 4ft wave this weekend, need to get a wave this weekend 01/04/06 spent too long in the Winter, away from the sea...
Been looking at magicseaweed.com and things could be knarly.
I don't wanna drown or get too stressed, so a nice beach break, 4ft max, should sort an old bodyboarder out very nicely.
I would also like to find a chilled spot for a drink, and maybe, just maybe, something to eat

I am in need of all the kit, 'specially wetsuit, so reco's welcome

In fact, share your knowledge and make a man happy

my local break (south sheilds - oop north ) has got quite a good forecast for this weekend - 4-5ft with a 9sec period not bad.

Yeah, I thought about Saltburn, but 2 degrees makes a big diff to me, plus I get to tramp over some old ground and get away for a while

hey fellow north easterner (of sorts ) i live in durham when i'm not at uni and i reckon there is a surf culture - just gotta know where to look to find it. you ever tried tynemouth or south shields? also, northumberland is quite good - bit more 'locally' tho if you know what i mean.
good to hear of a fellow north sea goer...and what ever anyone else says, we know it's not that cold
