Exclamation Do i go for the interview or not?!!!

Ok, so heres the thing,
I live about 6 hours away from the quay....
I desperately wanna move to cornwall,
so i applied for some jobs-spontaneously!!

I got an interview request to go down on the 4th May.
Various things stopping me going like its less money than what im on no, it would be a lower position than what i am now and its for the council (Fitness Instructor by the way)

But at least i would have a job down there!!

Any thoughts/ views, much appreciated!!!

i think you should definately go for the interview, then if you get the job you can still always turn it down

i know its less money etc but it'll give you the opportunity to find another job down here or get promoted

but yeah good luck either way

The only problem you may have, unless you have a bit of money set aside is finding somewhere to live.

I did the same last year.I went for a interview in Penryn, and got the job.But when i went down to work down there,i could not find anywhere to live because i did not have enough money set aside. So after a month living in a tent,i went back up North.

Carly,if you want something bad enough,a few sacrifices sometimes become part of the deal.Depending on you having accomadation, etc, sorted, i d always say follow your heart.Obviously weigh things up(god i sound old now) but if you can manage on the less money does following the call of the quay outweigh what you d be losing out on.I ve always said its no good being in a well paid job if you wanna be somewhere else.good luck hun in whatever you decide to do.Keona

Hey Keona,

with regards to the well paid job...im a duty manager/ fitness instructor for a major health club-the pay is crap!!!!!

im in it totally for the love of the job! 100 percent!!!

so i would love the job if i got it, and i have zilch to stick around for up here!!

But accomodation would be a good idea to sort first i feel....

Stormy....can i borrow your tent??!!

i have applied for another position which i may wait on hearing from them or trying again soon- 30k so i doubt i would have many probs with that!! and its doing something i love even more ( no, unfortunately its nothing to do with surfing!!)

Does anyone know if there is any personal training studios in or around the Newquay area?

or any personal trainers for local budding surfer pros?

My tent was ditched in Penryn.

I swore never to tent it ever again.

No dont tent it.

What you need is to rent a room. But you need to get your skates on,they will be going fast now.

go for it dude, if you have nothing to stay where u are for take the leap. there must be loads of places for rent / sale around the newquay area even if you have to drive a bit to your work and you can always move once you are there. you just need to get your foot in the door so to speak. good luck at the interview, at least its a good excuse to go to newquay if nothing else lol.
