My hubby was having the exact same problem. His CV is fantastic, but for some reason, despite applying for up to 15 jobs per week he wasnt even getting to the interview stage. He was getting so depressed about it,- we both were, life is hard in that situation, and the benefits agency only added to the whole thing (I dont have a soap box big enough to start about them!

) but, out of the blue, a company he applied to months ago called him up and asked him to attend a meeting, and finally he got a new job, so it just goes to prove that unexpected things DO happen, its just a matter of trying to survive and stay positive until then. If you lose belief in yourself, it will show through. (now I just need to follow my own words of wisdom...

)
My best advice would be to try and not isolate yourself from people, as that gives you too much time to think about the things that arent great... even if its just posting online at least your mind isnt so focussed on the bad stuff all the time, and youre interacting with people. There are lots of people to chat to, dont close yourself off from the world. That leads to a slippery slope (I'm an expert in those)
This time next week/next fortnight/next month might be a whole different story.
You know, the older I get.... the more i start sounding like a hippy!!
