Question What do surfers do with their keys?

I'm new to the surfing scene and when I go to beach to surf I find I have to leave all of my valuables on their own.
I was just wondering what other surfers did to make sure that no one stole their stuff while they were in the water?
Thanks

And obviously watch out for dodgy types that will probably turn up when it gets busier watching for surfers leaving stuff behind to surf!

1.) Fiberous breakfast.
2.) Goto beach.
3.) Swallow keys.
4.) Surf all day.
5.) Go home.
6.) Goto the toilet
7.) Don't flush before retrieving keys.
8.) Wash hands

I got one of them on my beer fridge!
You open the top of a wave & it plays one of three Beach Boys surfing classics

Rubber Gloves

Put the key in one, knot it tightly, then put that in another glove, knot it even tighter, then drop it in the back of your wetsuit. Works a treat even if it does feel a bit bizarre.

You can buy boxes of latex gloves at most chemists
