Cornwall & Devon Differences?

Folks I've been to North Devon a fair few times. But Newquay I've only been to once - when I was about 12 - so have no idea what it's like

Can anyone tell me if it's similar to areas such as Croyde, Saunton Sands, Woolacombe etc? Is it pretty quiet like Croyde? Or is it raudy like... ... ... say Brighton? What are the job opportunities - epsecially for creatives or Project Managers working in Education? (I will be looking at the links on the Sticky but am hoping there are some people working in a similar field )

Sorry for the generalness of this posting, but just coudln't figure out how to narrow it down other than to put up several postings!

1.) There are a lot of similarities between the beaches & breaks in Cornwall compared to Devon. Both have north facing beaches that have huge expanses of sand & surf, some are small & reefy ...
Really something down to personal preference.
Some breaks are busy than others just like Devon.

2.) Employment in Devon is better than Cornwall mainly as its bigger with more companies & opportunities.

3.) For employment try the usual avenues as you would in any other part of the UK.

Thanks AW for the reply.

In terms of importance, I think for me and my wife it has to be jobs or business opportunity. I know it sounds a little harsh but we do somehow have to put food on the table. Anyways, when we move no matter what the beach'll be a helluva lot closer than from London

I was doing some mega research yesterday at jobs, businesses and places to stay.

The results of all my hard research are:

a) Job opportunities very scarce in Devon

b) Business possibilites slightly more - but a tad risky in this climate I did find the perfect fun business for sale - a surf rental place. But realistically this is only seasonal and I would need to do something else along side this.

c) Houses a plenty but prices a little high for what we'd be getting. But tbh I havent looked around a lot yet as priority has to be work

Gonna do some more research today, so finger crossed. I have approx 3-4 months before I will move, which isn't that much time!!
