they smart them buggers according to my wife who had a splash about with one a few years back, luckily the jellyfish survived to tell the tale

It was seen near LANDS END as the one last year was.

Plus just to be an anorak the PORTUGUESE MAN O' WAR is actually a cluster of creatures rather than a true jellyfish. They tend to gather on swarms with their tentacles trailing for more than one hundred food under the surface.
They can give an excruciating sting that can become fatal.

to be honest she was quite bad and was in a shock state for about 4 hours, shaking and shivering being sick. It took the best part of a day and a half for her to get over it.
