As a beginner I have rushed into booking the bank holiday weekend + some more days to get some much needed practise in.

I just noticed on the forum that there is a Quicksilver Skins event this weekend. Now I can pretty much assume the waters will be closed to the public for the Boardmasters event. but what's the chance of getting in the water on Fistral beach over august bank holiday weekend?

Will teh beach be closed for the competition or is it only going to be in one area.

They only section off part of North Fistral for Boardmasters so you can still go out for a surf.

Only North Fistral gets closed off for the comps.So there are plenty of space to surf in the rest of Fistral.

But do expect large crowds sufing aswell.
