Fella ...
Between the influx of PORN SPAMMERS on this site, the usual Chavvy "Me & my slags/tarts/boys/lads are coming down to get really drunk/start fights/take drugs/cause trouble/bring down my town " posts have begun. Though this year we've had a higher than normal number of nice people joining too! Plus there is the general moderation, the other forums I go on/moderate. Work, life & the gym ...
WHEN DO I GET TIME TO LOOK AT PROFILES ...

JAMMO - cheers for the offer geezar. Whilst I have a full head of hair (no baldness in my family), I like a nice grade two to three but a tad longer on the top to mess up with gel !!!
Right ... onwards & upwards.

Sorry to hear that SEA, but if you went bodyboarding then the knee is no excuse as my old man found out
Did his knee years ago in a landrover accident with problems ever since.
Mother ocean is good for you

Hello guys
I thought i'd say hello my name's Max.
great site not really much of a forum person (a bit old) but this site looks friendly enough and obviously covers two of my favorite things Surf and newquay.
I'm a thiry something married man with 3 kids, i've been coming to Newquay up to 4 times a year either with the family who i've also got into surfing even Charlie my youngest who is 6 has been on a bodyboard since he was 4 (supevised) or with my brother and best mate for our annual pilgramage the 1st week in september.
this year will be the 16th year i have been and have stayed everywhere from trevelgue to the headland hotel. We came close about ten years ago to buying a house in Pentire but with one thing and another it never happened. We still intend to live in or aroung Newquay one day and my wife is training to be a primary school teacher at the moment to help this.
the changes i have seen over the last 16 years have been unbelivable some for the better (cleaner beaches and water)and definatly some for the worst(stag and hen do's)
Favorite time of year for me is when we come at the end of February we hire one of the cottages at the headland (very pricey but superb). the waves and space on the beach is great and when you go to the pubs you get to meet the locals who are a friendly great bunch of people. we tend to find it a great to recharge the batteries after the long cold winters.
Love the Vic and Morris's pasties, one day i will buy that beast all to myself.
as for surfing i started off on a bodyboard and moved to renting one when we came down, i eventually bought a 7"6 mini mal from the longboard house which i'm starting to get the hang of.
cheers
Max
