Question life after minimal?

help me have been surfing for a while now and have a 7"6" mini mal its queit light and is a really fun board how ever i have been borrowing my friends 7"2" progressive board and love it much easier to turn feels more comfortable so heres the question someone offered me a good price for my board and i have the opertunity to buy another board .do i go for some thing like my friends or can i go for some thing like a 6"8" fat fish bearing in mind my favourit waves are around 2-3 foot anything over 4 foot starts to scare me at the moment as im still a bit of a wimp please help a very confused lady

My advise is try out a 6ft 8" board before you go out and buy one,just like you have tried out your friends 7ft 2" board.And when you decide what is the besr board is for you,yes sell your old board.
