I wwant to take my body boarding to the next level when i get down to Newqauy this year.
Im 5'10" and 12.5 stone, whats the best type of body board for me to surf Fistral, or am i better with an all rounder?

Also, any advice for use flippers, i bought some last year but was hopeless in them!

UP UP SPONGERS

i have a tribord XXXl full size board which is very luminant, and i love because it can catch loads of small waves, but i think it really comes into its own on a really strong wave, where its lovely and stable and leaves the smaller boards wobbling and just going over the top but its not as fast as some of my friends smaller boards, i just cant keep up. however, at fistral, i caught twice as many waves as they did, although it wasn't all down to the board .

so as i've already said, it likes the big waves more, but when we surfed other beaches, which were less powerful, the smaller boards were miles better.

ooh. forgot about the flippers. i hired some last year, and i didn't like them. i saw little kids ripping back up there, while i was stumbling past the waves to get back up there, and i thought 'hmm' fancy bit of that. but i couldn't use them for love nor money. i looked a right prat i bet, i kept stumbling all over the place, and i found that they didn't really help me keep up either, just slowed me down in fact . weird. i just kick like hell

Cheers, i'll check it out.

Yeah, when i tried the flippers, i ended up getting caught in a rip and because i could'nt swim properly in them, i ended up taking them off, holding t hem between my chest and the board, and then kicking like mad to get out of the rip zone!
