Newbie needing help!

Hi! Yeh I'm a newbie, and i need help! Next summer I'm going on a surfing holiday to newquay with my friends (hopefully) so i need some help! just wondering what the best surf schools are, the best youth hostels, and things to do!

hey clairebear!

best thing to do is to have a look and ask around at the local surf schools when your down there. there'll be offers on or even just a pricelist. you might also find that you'll be able to get a group session with just 'your group'

Also places live TUNNEL VISION; BOARDWALK; SUNSET surf all do hire of boards & wetties as well as advertise the surf schools.

If you use the search facility on this site you'll see 'many' threads asking the same sort of questions with answers

I'd definately recommend Tunnel vision as well. I had a lesson with them earlier this year and they were excellent.

I think it was the people who have set up in business inside tunnel vision that do the lessons. The company is called Breath Adventure ltd.

Hi Clairbear,

It's a good idea to get some swimming practise in too. You could get down to your local baths through the winter and give yourself a headstart for your lessons.
