I finally did it!!
I fianlly had my first surf lesson...
Or was it a swimming lesson with a board attached to my leg?
Goofy? Yeah I sure did look it.. Took about 2 hours to get to East Runton where I was having the lesson but when the instructor turned up he said it was to windy and we would move round to Cromer which is just up the road. Putting the wetsuit on had me and the good lady in stitches (but that was nothing to getting it off again)then a quick walk through the centre of town to the beach. I imagined to be on the beach for ages talking about stuff but it was a 5 minute thing and then straight in, it was FANTASTIC. Spent about 3 hours in the water and was like toast in the suit 4/3 O'Neill, I ache like "£$%" this morning thought but loved every minute of it. Got to say thanks to Tel though for standing on the shore in the wind and rain for 3 hours she's mad. I didn't want to get out but it was getting dark and we had a drive home and we took a wrong turning which added miles to the journey. But what the hell.
I'M HOOKED!!!
Tel took some pics but they are to big to put on here.

East Coast Surf are trying to get a comp together, well actually it's sorted sponsors and everything but the council are being A$$holes about it.
That's unlike council's to stop people having fun I hear you cry.

thats would be cool, tipical councils, someone needs to tell them about all the money that comes with surfers visiting an area.
The only problem is getting a day that issnt flat, they may have to wait a while.

Was reading the other day that this year has been flatest they can remember for years, supposed to be good at least until Sunday there.
Where do you go then? Just Cornwall?
Suppose it'll have to be a camper next so we don't have to come back all the time.

we normally head to newquay + polzeath for surfing. we go to the norfolk coast alot though for days out, its about 2 hours to cromer for us so ok for a day out. we normally head for wells next to sea for the beach. we will have to keep an eye on the surf reports for cromer and give it a go sometime.
