Went to Cromer yesterday and spent two hours in the water and all I did for the whole time was try and paddle out!! I just couldn't get out there, I got so frustrated!

Talking to a couple of people afterwards and they said they were in the same boat, it's funny when I look out at the other surfers I automatically think I am the only newbie, it's nice to know I'm not the only one struggling.

i had the same problem down watergate a few weeks back, the tide was fairly high and i was getting smashed to bits trying to get out.. my patience lasted 25 minutes until i ran back to the car with board and drove straight to fistral, it was just as rough but managed to catch a few rides which made the extra grief worth it
