Question Newbies first board?

Hey all! New to the forum and new to surfing!

I've just done a 5 day course of lessons plus a couple of days with a rented board. Now i'm looking to buy my own board so i can surf locally rather than travelling miles to the nearest beach that has rental boards.

Problem is i keep getting different opinions on which board would be right for me every shop seems to tell me a different size and i'm unsure which to go for. I'm 5'8" tall and just under 9.5 stone in weight.I can catch a wave stand up and ride it in straight and i'm starting to get the hang of basic turns.

So far the new board options i've been given are
6'8 NSP funboard
7'2 NSP funboard
7'3 Bic mini mal
7'6 Custom mini mal
7'9 Bic natural

A friends brother is selling a Sunride 7'2 mini mal wwhich he says would be perfect for learning on but i've never heard of them and can't find any info about them on the web.Has anyone used one of these or know anything about them?

Unfortunately i'm not in Newquay (i wish i was though)so i don't have a huge range of shops near me.Can anyone give me any advice on which board to go for?

Sorry this post is a bit long but i don't want to end up with a board that isn't right for me.

Any help much appreciated

Welcome to the forum.

I'd give TUNNEL VISION or SUNSET SURF a call in Newquay mate & speak to one of the guys there for advice.

Likewise, if your going to wait to buy a board then next time your here visit either one of the shops & make your purchase then after the advice.

Your height & weight will always be a major factor however.
