Surfing Rocks!

Hi folks...

So after a week in Newquay in June where we got a day and a half's surfing in (typically the last day and a half of the trip!) I can't stop thinking about it!

I'm thinking of heading back with a few of the crowd for a long weekend early October...just to see if it was the old honeymoon period thing! If it is still as fun as I remember it then I might consider getting some gear so I can go up near me...unfortunately I expect the East Yorkshire coast is a bit less predictable (and less warm!) than Newquay!!

So what do we think...it's been a few months...another lesson...? Or just say bo*lox to it and hire a board and suit and give it a go?!

Blue ones!

Guy

Choice is yours fella but another lesson could never hurt. Plus the water is still warm at that time of year too & there's the chance of better conditions than what you had before.

Then if you still love it start having a look at your own equipment.

I'm doing exactly the same thing. I went up about 3 weeks ago now and can't wait to go back. I've booked another weekend this coming bank holiday. Read up some advanced techniques and rules of the road such as who has priority on a wave, which is basically (if you're not surfing on it, its not you).

I'm going to buy me a wetsuit this time and Hire a board. If I'm crap I may ask for a few pointers from locals, and if that gets me nowhere I'll get another lesson.

can't wait to go back, I don't think you will stop caring about it. I don't think I will either.

I feel like I've always been a surfer on the inside, I've just been trapped in Nottingham all my life.
