Basically, ill be heading to either bournemouth or plymouth, this september when i go to uni, and i fancy giving surfing ago, i used to ride biketrials for a living, and thats all i did, but due to a motorcycle accident, im not able to do it again as its far to harsh on my ankle, so seeing as im going to be spending the next 3 years of my life on the coast, and ive always wanted to try it, surfing is the way im going, but i dont know a thing, i have litterally no clue about anything, so is there any websites that are really good for beginners? or can you guys gimme the basics?

When you get to where you are going go to a local surf school and get a lesson or 2. If you want to do something in advance to get prepped, do as many press-ups a day as you can manage. There isn't much theory behind beginner surfing its a simple process to get up on a board and takes less than an hour to learn, it's all about practise once you have that down.
