I do really like Porthmeor as it was the first beach,as a kid i saw real surfing.I sat for hours watching, and i remember getting badly sunburnt because of it'lol'.It was another few years before i went back as an adult to surf it.I enjoyed surfing at Porthmeor Beach.I must try and get back there sometime.

Went there in winter, managed to park right above the beach, nice spot to surf, had a hot chocolate in the cafe afterwards to warm up before going for a stroll around town.

Yes it is.It is over looked by the sailers apartments, which 20 years ago used to be a night club called the sailers.

Yeah, Porthmeor is awesome.

First beach I ever surfed on/saw surfing happening. I'm seeing a bit of a theme here. I guess people tend to head to St. Ives before they discover Newquay?

....on second thoughts maybe perran sands was the first beach I ever surfed on. I really can't remember.
